Does my practice require any special equipment for TeleMed EMC?

My MD First offers an internet-based platform for patient registration. Alternatively, for chiropractors who prefer to use their own in-office hardware, TeleMed EMC exams can be conducted on any PC or laptop equipped with a webcam and microphone. Please reach out to us for further details.

Are telemedicine exams accepted by insurance providers?

Yes, telemedicine exams are recognized by insurance companies. The Florida Administrative Code & Florida Administrative Register established Rule: 64B8-9.0141 of the Florida Department of Health on January 6, 2006. Since then, telemedicine services have become widely accepted as a form of medical examination.

How do I schedule a TeleMed EMC appointment?

Once you sign up with us, scheduling a TeleMed EMC appointment is a breeze! Just follow these simple steps:

2. Fax the patient's registration documents to us. Once we receive the completed documents, we will proceed to schedule the EMC exam. Our team is committed to efficiency and will handle this promptly.

3. Make sure the patient has access to a laptop or PC with internet connectivity, camera, and microphone. We want to ensure a seamless TeleVisit experience for both you and your patient.

4. Check your email for the appointment confirmation we've sent. Simply click on the button provided in the email to start the TeleVisit. It's as easy as that!

What documentation is required for my patient's TeleMed EMC visit?

On the day of your patient's TeleMed EMC exam, please email or fax a copy of your initial examination and any supporting documentation, such as patient demographics or diagnostic imaging reports.

Can patients use their own devices for their TeleMed EMC visit at home?

Yes, patients can use their own devices for a TeleEMC visit at home. All they need is internet access, a webcam, and a microphone.

Are TeleMed EMCs offered in languages other than English?

Yes, our doctors are fluent in multiple languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole.

Can medications be prescribed during a TeleMed EMC visit?

Medications are not prescribed during a TeleMed EMC visit.

Can minors receive an EMC?

Yes, the authorized adult signing the form must complete all of the patient registration documentation, including injury questions, health review of systems, and all 4 signed consent, release, and privacy documents.

What text messages will my patients receive for home visits?

Patients scheduling a Home Visit will receive 3 text messages:

1. The first message is sent immediately after the appointment is scheduled and contains a link to complete a mandatory patient form.

2. The second message is sent 48 hours prior to the appointment and may contain a link to complete the mandatory patient form if it hasn't been completed yet.

3. The final message is sent 45 minutes before the appointment and will likewise contain a link to the mandatory patient form if it hasn't been completed yet.
